As a family of three on a strict $30,000 a year budget, we have to find ways to cut corners and fight a little harder to hold onto what we do earn. Coupons, free samples, budget-friendly activities, and many other random frugal tricks help us fill in the the gaps.
In addition to being able to support ourselves on such a limited budget, we are also able to make food and personal care item donations to local organizations. Before we started couponing, I never thought we would be able to make charitable contributions on our income!
Having the ability to stay at home with our daughter has also given me the opportunity to get more involved in my community. I am the Vice President of the Jefferson County Head Start Policy Council (school year 2012-13), a PADA Domestic Abuse Advocate, a local election poll volunteer, and I did my first Habitat for Humanity event in May 2013!
I first began Coupons For Wisconsin simply wanting to share the savings possibilities of using coupons. It has since grown to a community of people I look forward to visiting with on a daily basis. It has also opened up new doors for me, and taken me out of my comfort zone to push me into exciting new experiences!
